Job Description

Role Title (i.e., Architect, Developer, DBA, etc.) QA Required Skills Selenium, Functional Testing, API Testing Preferred Skills Katalon Responsibilities As an Automation Tester, you will help ensure that software applications meet functional, performance, security, and quality expectations. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, plan testing activities, identify defects, and deliver reliable software. Key Responsibilities * Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases for functional testing. * Verify that application features meet business and technical requirements, and identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues. * Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and provide timely feedback on software changes. * Analyze test results, document findings, and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. * Create and execute API test plans and test cases to validate API functionality, performance, and security. * Use API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI, and maintain thorough coverage of API endpoints and clear test documentation. * Participate in code reviews from a quality-assurance perspective and promote compliance with QA standards and best practices. * Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and QA methodologies to enhance product quality. * Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to team members and stakeholders. * Mentor and guide junior QA engineers as needed, and contribute effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced team. Qualifications * Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. * Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI. * Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage priorities, collaborate across teams, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Expected Deliverables * Well-documented test plans and test cases. * Reliable automated test scripts and appropriate CI/CD integration. * Completed test execution, with clear defect reports and test results.
