Cybersecurity Analyst, Mid-Level with Security Clearance

Job Description: Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, and security operations. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff on security matters.
• Stay current on emerging threats and security trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

Clearance

Active Secret clearance required.
