System Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Business Analyst with 13+ years of experience to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, system analysis, process improvement, functional documentation, and working closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document complex business and system requirements from business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and system specifications.
• Conduct requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis.
• Analyze existing systems, business processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Work closely with developers, architects, QA teams, project managers, and business users throughout the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain process flows, data flows, system diagrams, and workflow documentation.
• Analyze system integrations, APIs, data mapping, and interfaces between applications.
• Participate in solution design discussions and validate that proposed solutions meet business requirements.
• Create detailed acceptance criteria and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Coordinate with QA teams to develop test scenarios and validate system functionality.
• Perform impact analysis for system enhancements, changes, and new implementations.
• Identify functional gaps, dependencies, risks, and potential issues and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Support production issues by analyzing business and system impacts and coordinating with technical teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize requirements and maintain the product backlog.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood and traceable throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare status reports, requirement traceability matrices, and other project documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or System Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in business requirements analysis and system analysis.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong knowledge of business process modeling and workflow analysis.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases for data validation and analysis.
• Understanding of REST APIs, web services, system integrations, and data mapping.
• Experience with UAT, functional testing, and defect management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience with UML, BPMN, process modeling, and system architecture concepts.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise applications and complex system environments.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
