About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Admin to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database Cloud Service, Azure SQL Database, Oracle RAC along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (On-Premises & Azure PaaS), Oracle Databases, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). 
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mission-critical production database environments, implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, optimizing database performance, and supporting cloud-based database platforms. 
• The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, automation capabilities, and the ability to lead complex database initiatives across hybrid and cloud environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Microsoft SQL Server (On-Premises & Azure PaaS)
• Administer and maintain SQL Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 environments.
• Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
• Configure and support Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), Log Shipping, Replication, and Database Mirroring.
• Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, and database refresh activities.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, execution plan analysis, and statistics management.
• Implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Monitor SQL Server health and proactively resolve performance issues.

 

Oracle Database Administration:

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c/21c/23AI/26AI).
• Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN backup and recovery.
• Perform database cloning, upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning.
• Monitor and optimize Oracle databases using AWR, ADDM, ASH, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Implement database security, auditing, encryption, and compliance controls.

 

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):

• Administer Oracle databases hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Deploy and manage Oracle Database Cloud Service, Exadata Cloud Service, Autonomous Database, and Base Database Service.
• Configure OCI networking, compartments, IAM policies, security lists, VCNs, storage for database deployments and Datagurad setup
• Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and cross-region replication using OCI services.
• Monitor and optimize OCI database resources for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform cloud migrations from on-premises Oracle databases to OCI.
• Work with OCI monitoring, logging, notifications, and automation services.
• Ensure database security and compliance using OCI native security capabilities.

 

PostgreSQL Administration:

• Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL databases.
• Configure streaming replication, logical replication, failover, and backup solutions.
• Perform performance tuning, indexing, VACUUM optimization, and query analysis.
• Manage database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Implement security, monitoring, and high availability solutions.
