Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support the State of Arkansas. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, and Linux/Unix environments, along with hands-on experience administering Oracle Forms and Reports. Knowledge of Oracle APEX and BI Publisher migration is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Core Oracle Database Administration

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Manage database backup and recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN).
• Perform database exports and imports using Data Pump (EXPDP/IMPDP).
• Write and maintain SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts for database management.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize SQL queries and database instances.
• Administer database users, roles, privileges, auditing, and encryption to maintain security and compliance.
• Work in Linux/Unix environments to support database operations.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and schedule automated tasks using cron jobs.

Oracle Forms and Reports Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports environments.
• Run Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and configure domains using the Configuration Wizard.
• Monitor Reports Server activity, manage job queues, and troubleshoot performance issues using Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control.
• Manage application security and integrations involving Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
• Set up, configure, and maintain file-transfer processes and related environments.
• Deploy and manage Oracle Forms and Reports applications and ensure proper connectivity to Oracle databases.
• Support migration activities involving Oracle APEX and BI Publisher.
