Job Description

Job Title: Teacher of Business Studies
Location: Huddersfield Grammar, Luck Lane, Huddersfield, HD1 4QX
Salary: Up to £43,635 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Hours: 15 hours per week | Thursday - Friday
Contract: 0 hours contract | Term Time Only

Start: October 2026

About the role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Business Studies to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an exciting opportunity to bring business concepts to life through engaging, real-world learning, helping students develop the knowledge, confidence, critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills needed for future success. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you'll play a key role in raising achievement, shaping the curriculum and preparing students for the ever-changing economic and commercial world.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver engaging Business Studies lessons up to GCSE level.
  • Inspire students to develop commercial awareness, enterprise skills and critical thinking.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback and support students to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of an ambitious and engaging Business Studies curriculum.
  • Support enrichment opportunities, including enterprise projects, competitions and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote excellent teaching, learning and student outcomes.
