Job Description

Job Qualifications and Responsibilities for Technical Project Manager (Telecom and Data):
Thsi position must sit onsite in NY
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in SQL and advanced analytics platforms such as Tableau, and work effectively with large data reports to ensure accuracy in identifying cost savings opportunities, optimizing expenditures, and detecting carrier invoice overcharges.
  • Establish and optimize the process for preparing and auditing invoices, wireless plans, and wireless equipment purchases from all carriers, as well as budget variance and expense reports for the department; analyze reports for data integrity.
  • Establish and optimize the process for reviewing Cost Benefit Analyses (CBAs) and ROI.
  • Establish and optimize the process for analyzing vendor expenses and comparing them to contract funding.
  • Establish and optimize the process for preparing budget expense variance reports.
  • Manage the existing database: backups, restores, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Create, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Load data from files, APIs, vendor portals, Excel, and external systems.
  • Write complex SQL queries (joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregation).
  • 10 years of experience in Telecom Services & Expense Management.
  • Experience with project-based financial management, telecom expense management, budgeting/forecasting, and/or auditing is a plus
  • In-depth invoice analysis and audit experience.
  • Superior skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • PeopleSoft Finance Modules.
  • ServiceNow Reporting Modules.
  • Tableau or comparable advanced analytics platform.
  • Expert-level SQL / SQL Server support skills (see Section II for detail).
