Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ Hybrid

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of software development experience and strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and AWS.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and cloud-native solutions for enterprise environments. Strong experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, databases, and application security is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java backend applications and REST APIs.
Build and deploy scalable Spring Boot/Spring Cloud microservices.
Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads using Kubernetes.
Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
Work with AWS services including ECS, IAM, API Gateway, ELB, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, and Route53.
Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, SSL, MFA, SSO, and Spring Security.
Design data-access layers using Hibernate/JPA.
Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Participate in application performance tuning, caching, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Develop multi-threaded applications and optimize application performance and scalability.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
Work with Jenkins, Git, and AWS CDK for CI/CD and deployment automation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical discussions.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers.

Required Skills:

10+ years of software development experience.
Strong Java/J2EE development experience.
Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Extensive experience developing Microservices.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong experience developing RESTful APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSL, MFA, SSO, and Spring Security.
Strong understanding of multithreading, caching, and performance tuning.
Experience with Jenkins and Git.
Strong understanding of software development, testing, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, ECS, API Gateway, and AWS CDK.
Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
Exposure to MongoDB or Cassandra.
Exposure to Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply-chain applications is a plus.
