Job Duties
- Drive Culture: Foster core company values and promote a positive customer service experience while influencing cultural change across the organization.
- Talent Acquisition: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Onboarding & Compliance: Conduct background checks, verify employee eligibility, and assist with new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- HR Administration: Handle daily functions including administering compensation, benefits, leave, performance management, recognition, and occupational health and safety.
- Employee Relations: Address employment-related inquiries from staff and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to appropriate leadership; participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations as needed.
- Process Improvement: Create and implement HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline department workflows.
- Project Leadership: Lead various HR projects, including UKG Recruiting implementation and compliance reporting.
- Regulatory Oversight: Maintain thorough knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Human Resource Generalist experience working within a multi-state company environment.
- Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment-related laws and regulations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with a proven ability to act with integrity and confidentiality.
- Organization: Outstanding organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and strong time-management capabilities to meet tight deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years of experience using UKG Pro with Workforce Management as an HRIS.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
