Position: Desktop Support Specialist

Location: Tyner, NC 27980
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description: Seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to support high volumes of service desk requests, hardware deployments, and user software support onsite in Edenton and surrounding counties. You will install and image computers, configure printers and peripherals, migrate user data/profiles, manage incidents with a ServiceNow-based workflow, and collaborate with application and network teams to resolve complex issues. Must travel onsite and stay current with evolving technology. Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to mentor teammates are required.

5 Key Technical Skills:

  • Desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and imaging
  • Local and network printer installation and configuration
  • Data/profile migration and user provisioning (AD, email, Citrix)
  • ServiceNow experience for incident/problem management
  • Networking concepts and cross-team collaboration for issue resolution
