.NET Developer

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer to lead the technical modernization of DECAL’s core child care licensing and eligibility platform. Moving away from legacy ASP.NET architectures, this high-impact position is responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable cloud-native solutions using .NET 8+, RESTful APIs, Azure Cloud services, SQL Server, and React-based frontends. The developer will own end-to-end delivery within an agile environment, from architecture design and CI/CD pipelines to production deployment and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Modernization: Lead the refactoring and migration of legacy ASP.NET Web API/MVC applications to modern .NET 8+ and cloud-native Azure architectures.
• API & Cloud Integration: Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful APIs, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and middleware integrations (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft).
• Database & SQL Modernization: Own database design, schema migrations, T-SQL performance tuning, and complex stored procedure optimization on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Frontend Development: Develop responsive, accessible UI components using React and modern rendering patterns (CSR/SSR) adhering to ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines.
• DevOps & Engineering Excellence: Automate build, test, and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines; conduct code reviews and document runbooks.
• Reporting & AI Services: Implement reporting solutions via Power BI / SSRS and integrate emerging Azure Agentic AI / Copilot capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core .NET Experience: 8+ years of hands-on software development using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and modern .NET (6, 7, 8, or 10).
• Modernization Track Record: Proven, practical experience migrating live, production ASP.NET systems to modern .NET frameworks.
• Database Mastery: Production experience with SQL Server, T-SQL tuning, stored procedures, and schema evolution.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, configuration management, and Azure DevOps CI/CD automation.
• Frontend & Accessibility: 3+ years building React components within enterprise applications and implementing ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Enterprise Technology Stack: 3+ years of experience with Power BI/SSRS reporting, integration middleware (Boomi/MuleSoft), and public sector/PII compliance frameworks.
• Residency: Candidates must be physically located in the State of Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience integrating Azure Agentic AI services, Copilot tools, or generative AI features into enterprise web applications.
• Prior domain expertise in government, public health, human services, or early childhood licensing software systems.
