Job Description

Role: Tech Lead .NET & Azure

Location: Beverly, MA (Onsite from Day 1)

Job Type: W2 Contract

Experience Level: Lead experience is a must

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Tech Lead with strong .NET, Microsoft Azure, and event-driven microservices experience to lead the technical delivery of a life-sciences cold-chain IoT platform.
The person will work onsite with the client's architect and technical team and act as the technical bridge to the distributed engineering team.

Tech Stack:

.Net, Azure, AKS/Kubernetes, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Dapper, Elasticsearch, Redis, Angular, Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, Terraform and Helm.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the technical solution for the MVP and align it with the client architect.
Lead technical discovery covering architecture, integrations, NFRs, ERP REST interfaces, and integration contracts.
Design event-driven services, including message contracts, ordering, idempotency, replay, late/backfilled device data, and consistency.
Drive multi-tenant data isolation, roles/permissions, audit trails, electronic signatures, and data-residency design.
Guide the offshore development team through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.
Coordinate framework upgrades, environments, CI/CD changes, and releases.
Work with QA on technical acceptance, NFRs, performance, and security.
Represent the team in PI planning and technical decision forums.
Champion AI-assisted engineering using Cursor.

Required Skills:

10+ years of software engineering experience with .NET web development.
Previous Tech Lead or Solution Architect experience.
Strong Azure cloud-native experience: AKS/Kubernetes, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Redis, Key Vault, API Management.
Strong event-driven microservices design experience: asynchronous messaging, idempotency, ordering, eventual consistency, and failure recovery.
Strong SQL Server and multi-tenant SaaS data modelling experience.
Dapper or explicit SQL experience.
Working knowledge of Angular / TypeScript.
Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, Terraform, and Helm.
Security knowledge: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and RBAC.
