We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Head to lead the fresh food counter operations for a prominent national supermarket chain recognized for its commitment to quality and customer experience. This role involves spearheading a team, ensuring exceptional product freshness, and optimizing all operational aspects of the counter.

The Role

• Lead and mentor a team, serving as a role model and implementing national sales concepts effectively.
• Ensure outstanding product presentation, freshness, and strict adherence to hygiene standards.
• Engage customers with appealing displays, expert advice, and attentive service.
• Independently implement sales-promoting initiatives and creative ideas.
• Oversee all aspects of inventory management, cost and revenue development, regular inventory checks, price adjustments, and product flow.

What You'll Need

• Completed vocational training, ideally in food retail, or equivalent experience as a career changer with previous experience in baked goods or fresh food counters.
• Solid product knowledge with a high awareness of freshness and quality.
• A solution-oriented and results-driven approach with a structured and conscientious work ethic.
• Excellent teamwork, strong customer focus, and effective communication skills.
