Lead Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Overview VTG is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to support our client on-site at Fort Belvoir. What will you do? * Lead the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions, including LAN, WAN, intranet, extranet, and data communications networks * Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning to support Army installation modernization efforts * Design and integrate network security measures aligned with DoD standards * Evaluate, recommend, and integrate network hardware and software solutions for optimal performance and reliability * Serve as a technical lead on integrated project teams, supporting planning, scheduling, and execution activities * Participate in contract activities and status meetings with government stakeholders * Develop and deliver project documentation, plans, and technical reports to the Government * Support the integration of information technologies to improve system effectiveness across the enterprise * Maintain availability during core hours (0900-1500) and support on-site operations at Fort Belvoir, as required Do you have what it takes? Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related technical field Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree * 10+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope and complexity * Meets DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification requirements * One or more of the following certifications: * Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) * Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) * Government-approved vendor equivalent Preferred Qualifications * DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or another industry-recognized provider * Prior experience supporting the U.S. Army or other federal agencies * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior military leadership, program managers, and technical teams Clearance & Travel * Active TS/SCI at the time of application * Travel up to 25%, as required
