Role: Senior Network Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule following an initial onsite onboarding period. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite Monday-Friday during their first 90 days, with a hybrid schedule available thereafter.

Compensation: $103,500-$139,900 base salary

Ledgent Technology has partnered with a local employer on their search for a Senior Network Engineer. This position is ideal for a network engineering professional with deep technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise networking solutions.

<>Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure


• Lead networking projects, upgrades, and modernization initiatives


• Evaluate and recommend network architecture improvements


• Manage complex routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity solutions


• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated networking issues


• Develop technical standards, documentation, and best practices


• Partner with infrastructure and security teams on strategic initiatives


• Support capacity planning, scalability, and network performance improvements

<>Qualifications

• 7+ years of network engineering experience


• Strong background in network design and architecture


• Experience implementing enterprise networking solutions


• Advanced routing, switching, and firewall expertise


• Experience leading infrastructure projects from planning through deployment


• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

<>Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or related certifications


• Experience with cloud networking technologies


• Experience supporting large enterprise environments


• Knowledge of network security best practices
