Sr Business Analyst

Location - New Orleans, Louisiana (LA) 

Introduction: The Sr Business Analyst will be responsible for working with various types of businesses, including Energy, Property, Marine, Construction, Inland Marine, and FAC reinsurance business. They will utilize their expertise in Accounts Receivable, Business Analytics, Business Analysis, Functional Requirements, Project Management, Accountability, and Performance Management to drive key initiatives and projects within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Business Change, PM, and IT architecture skills to drive business initiatives
• Quickly understand new business areas, processes, and stakeholders
• Operate effectively in a US-based context while aligning with UK BA practices
• Minimize time zone friction through structured, asynchronous ways of working
• Establish a strong BA + testing partnership to improve delivery quality
• Adhere to agreed BA standards, governance, and tooling
• Support with initiative discovery and shaping
• Work proactively and independently, owning outcomes without heavy direction
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and delivery teams
• Effectively communicate across time zones with minimal delays
• Facilitate workshops and drive productive stakeholder discussions
• Translate business needs into technical solutions
• Produce high-quality requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with architects and developers to shape viable solutions
• Work with QAs to ensure quality and acceptance criteria are met
• Reprioritize across multiple initiatives as needed
• Demonstrate proactive, accountable, and delivery-focused mindset
• Communicate effectively with a collaborative and empathetic approach
• Provide balanced challenge and influence decisions with evidence
