Job Description


We are seeking a Construction - Loss Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mission-critical construction safety, risk assessment, and cross-functional safety program implementation and a proven ability to drive incident prevention, lead investigations, and standardize effective safety processes across active project sites.


Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and provide direction, training, and mentoring to onsite construction teams and internal stakeholders to implement effective safety measures.

  • Perform risk assessments on retrofit projects and generate safe work execution plans.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor safety programs and facilitate zero incidents on project sites.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting to drive corrective actions.

  • Maintain cross-functional relationships to foster cooperation and enhance safety initiatives.

  • Ensure internal processes are followed and align expectations on delivery timelines.

  • Develop robust safety processes and standards with internal stakeholders and lead effective cross-functional communications.

  • Partner with the team's Subject Matter Expert to assess safety and quality impacts of new designs, materials, and construction methods.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Experience in mission-critical environments with proactive safety methodologies.

  • Experience working within a comprehensive safety program.

  • Demonstrated success implementing Environmental Health and Safety enhancement programs.

  • Proven ability to partner with team members and contractors to implement change.

  • Industry knowledge of technical electrical and mechanical systems related to data center construction processes.

  • Strong understanding of design and construction practices, including fast-track design-build processes, documents, and contracts.

  • Familiarity with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements.

  • Familiarity with retrofit projects in live mission-critical or occupied environments.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills:



  • Certifications recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. CSP or CHST preferred.
