Our client is seeking a Communications Analyst (Cybersecurity & Change Management) in for a remote opportunity
Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Communications Analyst with a strong background in change management, content development, and cybersecurity to support the successful delivery of security initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for developing strategic communications, stakeholder engagement plans, training content, and change management activities that drive awareness, adoption, and understanding of cybersecurity programs and technologies.
The ideal candidate can translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences while partnering closely with cybersecurity, IT, leadership, and business stakeholders.
Communications & Content Development
Develop and execute communication strategies supporting cybersecurity and technology transformation initiatives.
Create executive communications, presentations, newsletters, intranet content, talking points, FAQs, email campaigns, and awareness materials.
Translate technical cybersecurity concepts into business-focused messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
Maintain communication calendars and ensure consistent messaging across multiple channels.
Develop success stories, case studies, and program updates to demonstrate value and adoption.
Change Management
Support organizational change management activities associated with cybersecurity programs, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access
Management (PAM), Security Awareness, Cloud Security, Data Protection, and Governance initiatives.
Conduct stakeholder analyses and develop engagement strategies for impacted business groups.
Create readiness assessments, adoption plans, and communication roadmaps.
Track adoption metrics and measure effectiveness of change and communication activities.
Support leadership alignment and stakeholder management efforts throughout project lifecycles.
Cybersecurity Program Support
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to support enterprise security initiatives and transformations.
Develop and maintain educational materials that promote security awareness and best practices.
Support rollout of new security tools, policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
Assist with incident communication planning and cybersecurity awareness campaigns.
Ensure communications align with regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with cybersecurity leaders, project managers, IT teams, HR, and business units to ensure effective communication and adoption of security initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor on communication and change management best practices.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Organizational Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in communications, change management, organizational readiness, or content development.
2+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, information security, risk, or technology initiatives.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation development skills.
Experience developing communications for executive and business audiences.
Knowledge of change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR or similar frameworks.
Experience creating content using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and collaboration platforms.
Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting cybersecurity programs including:
Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM (preferred but not required).
Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, or retail.
Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or other cybersecurity frameworks.
