What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Java developer with deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, hands-on cloud experience, and a strong foundation in modern distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with—or a genuine interest in learning—Go and other programming languages, frameworks, and application-development platforms. You should be curious, adaptable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a technology-agnostic engineering environment.
What you’ll be doing
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices and batch applications using Spring Boot.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Build and consume secure, reliable, and high-performing RESTful APIs and enterprise services.
• Implement Kafka producers and consumers and develop event-driven microservices.
• Contribute in Go and remain open to learning other languages, frameworks, and application-development approaches, including web, mobile, and platform services.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate cloud-native applications in AWS or comparable cloud environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, quality controls, and secure deployment processes.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and logging to identify and resolve production issues proactively.
• Write clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code following industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software quality, performance, security, and reusable engineering components.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise capabilities.
• Document technical designs, solutions, and operational processes.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including planning, estimation, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and less-experienced engineers.
Qualifications — must haves
• Java: 4+ or 7+ years of professional software-development experience.
• Spring ecosystem: 3+ or 5+ years of experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Cloud: 1+ or 2+ years of cloud experience; AWS is strongly preferred.
• Experience designing and building event-driven microservices, ideally using Kafka.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong experience with automated testing, CI/CD, debugging, logging, and production support.
