Title: AVEVA Control Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)

Position: Contract

Role and responsibilities:

• We are seeking an experienced AVEVA System Platform Specialist with 6-10 years of hands-on experience to support our client's industrial automation and control systems environment.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AVEVA/Wonderware technologies, with a focus on System Platform 2023R2SP1 implementation, migration strategies, and integration with OEM systems.
• This role requires strong technical skills in industrial software platforms, PLC integration, and the ability to work independently during critical system cutovers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system assessments and requirements analysis for AVEVA System Platform 2023R2SP1 implementation
• Install and configure AVEVA System Platform components including System Platform, Operations and Integration, InTouch, and Historian
• Develop and execute migration strategies from legacy systems (AVEVA System Platform 2014 R2) to newer versions
• Establish and maintain integration touchpoints with external OEM OPC providers
• Troubleshoot IO connectivity issues within the System Platform ecosystem
• Execute system cutovers within the client's change management framework
• Work independently during non-standard business hours for critical system implementations and troubleshooting
• Operate within privileged access environments (PAM) following security protocols
