Security Solution Architect

Description

We are looking for an experienced Security Solution Architect to provide independent security architecture, design and assurance on a major enterprise technology transformation programme.

The role will help ensure that new technology platforms and services are designed with an appropriate security posture from the outset, working across cloud, infrastructure, identity, networking and end-user technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Define and assure security architecture across a complex enterprise technology landscape.

Assess proposed solutions against relevant security requirements, controls and standards.

Provide security architecture input across cloud, networking, identity and end-user computing.

Review and challenge designs created by technology vendors and implementation partners.

Identify architectural security risks and recommend appropriate controls and mitigations.

Ensure security considerations are embedded throughout solution design and implementation.

Work closely with Solution Architects, security stakeholders, technical teams and third-party partners.

Support technical governance and architecture assurance activities.

Produce clear security architecture and design documentation.

Skills & Experience

Significant Experience as a Security Solution Architect / Enterprise Security Architect.

Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure security.

Experience working within regulated or highly controlled enterprise environments.

Knowledge of PCI DSS and Cyber Essentials Plus environments.

Understanding of recognised ISO security standards, particularly ISO/IEC 27001, would be beneficial.

Knowledge of IAM, network security, endpoint security and cloud security principles.

Experience conducting technical design reviews and architecture assurance.

Strong risk-management and stakeholder-management skills.
