Mechanical Engineer | Gosport, United Kingdom | Hybrid | Circa £42,000

The Role

  • Provide mechanical engineering support across diverse platform systems, equipment, and critical marine services.
  • Deliver engineering input to multiple projects, including complex platforms and international naval programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify and manage platform system requirements.
  • Maintain systems design integrity across varied engineering contexts, classes, and programme deployments.
  • Support investigations, impact assessments, and integration analyses for evidence-based technical decisions.
  • Ensure safe and efficient implementation of design changes while maintaining configuration control and system integration.

What You'll Need

  • Broad knowledge of complex platform systems across UK and international markets.
  • Good understanding of applicable industry standards and governance/assurance frameworks (CSM, LCM).
  • Ability to apply mechanical engineering knowledge quickly and confidently across multi-system projects.
  • Formal mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Experience within a Technical Authority service hub is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with naval programs and relevant engineering disciplines.
