Role: Hardware Design Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Exp: 10+ years

8+ years of experience

  • Experience in High-performance computing (HPC), datacentre application or OCP (open computing platform)
  • Experience in custom silicon, spanning analog, mixed-signal, and digital domains. 
  • Strong understanding of electronics, signal integrity (SI), power management, and server architecture.
  • Good hands-on experience on server class of board design consisting of NPU, GPU, custom hardware blocks with high power and high-speed signals.
  • Worked on end-to end ecosystem of projects from requirement to final product release (circuit design, prototyping and testing) and maintenance.
  • Hands on designing experience in high-speed interface standards PCIe Gen5 or Gen6, LPDDR5, USB 3.x, ethernet, M.2, U.2, CSI, DSI, MCIO’s HSIO ‘s
  • Proficient in schematic preparation, PCB layout design, and design validation
  • Strong understanding of application-specific customization and multi-chip architectures. Focus on chip efficiency, including performance and power optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB stack-up definition, controlled impedance routing guidelines for complex stack-ups and topologies
  • Hand on experience in board bring up and validation of high-speed interfaces. circuit validation, board debugging functional testing, trouble shooting, Failure analysis 
  • Good hands-on experience in instruments like high end oscilloscopes, DMM, power supply, FG, electronic loads etc.)
  • Experience in developing detailed schematics and schematic capture using CAD tools
  • Expertise on PCB design process, technical document writing
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
