Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong experience in the Insurance domain to lead Agile teams and ensure effective delivery of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Scrum methodologies, excellent facilitation skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams in an insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.

• Facilitate Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles.

• Remove impediments and proactively address risks and dependencies affecting delivery.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

• Track sprint progress, team velocity, burndown metrics, and overall delivery status.

• Support backlog refinement and ensure stories are properly prepared for upcoming sprints.

• Promote continuous improvement and help teams become more self-organizing and high performing.

• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and escalate issues when required.

• Provide regular project and Agile status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

• Ensure Agile practices and processes are consistently followed across the team.

• Support release planning, delivery coordination, and successful implementation of business initiatives.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Lead.

• Strong hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.

• Strong Insurance domain experience is required.

• Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.

• Strong understanding of Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog management, and team metrics.

• Experience working with distributed and cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with SAFe or other Agile frameworks is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Insurance applications, insurance operations, claims, policy administration, underwriting, or related insurance processes.

• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master is preferred.

• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
