About the role

As a Senior Analyst, Commercial Planning & Insights, you'll help shape commercial strategy across AGL's Residential and SME businesses. Combining analytical rigour with commercial thinking, you'll uncover opportunities to improve sales performance, customer growth, pricing outcomes, and market competitiveness. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product and Pricing, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights, influence key decisions, and help drive commercial outcomes at scale.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify opportunities and solve complex commercial challenges through data-driven analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Develop hypotheses, evaluate performance drivers, and generate recommendations that improve sales, pricing, retention, and growth outcomes.
  • Translate large and complex datasets into clear, compelling insights through reporting, visualisation, and executive-level storytelling.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor activity to shape commercial strategy and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to influence decisions, improve performance measurement, and drive continuous improvement.
About You
  • Experience in analytics, commercial insights, strategy, customer insights, business performance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience extracting insights from complex datasets using tools such as SQL and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to identify trends, solve business problems, and translate analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Experience presenting insights and influencing decisions with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
