Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect to design, architect, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, networking, security, data platforms, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform architectures across compute, networking, storage, security, and data services.
• Develop Google Cloud Platform landing zones, resource hierarchies, projects, folders, organizations, IAM models, and governance frameworks.
• Design secure VPC architectures, including Shared VPC, subnets, firewall policies, Cloud NAT, Private Service Connect, Cloud Load Balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Define and implement IAM, service accounts, least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, and security controls.
• Architect highly available and scalable solutions using GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and managed Google Cloud Platform services.
• Design cloud-native data and analytics architectures using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
• Develop hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity between Google Cloud Platform and AWS/Azure/on-premises environments.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Establish observability and operational standards using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace, and alerting.
• Work with application, DevOps, security, networking, and data engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Perform architecture reviews, identify technical risks, and recommend solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and deployment guidelines.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture / Solutions Architecture / Infrastructure Architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform networking, VPC, Shared VPC, IAM, firewall rules, load balancing, DNS, VPN and Interconnect
• Strong experience with GKE / Kubernetes
• Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Dataproc
• Strong knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, encryption and identity management
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures
• Strong experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
