Cybersecurity Lead - Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. - Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph Required 📍 Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C.

The Cybersecurity Lead is the senior authority on all aspects of security architecture, compliance, and risk management. This role ensures robust protection of mission-critical assets, adherence to DoD and IC security frameworks, and proactive mitigation of cyber threats. RESPONSIBILITIES * Define and lead the program's cybersecurity architecture, strategy, and technical standards in alignment with DoD and IC requirements. * Conduct and lead threat modeling, attack surface analysis, and application security reviews for all ASTRA systems. * Integrate security controls (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) into the CI/CD pipeline as part of the DevSecOps framework. * Lead vulnerability assessment activities; track, prioritize, and ensure timely remediation of identified weaknesses. * Coordinate penetration testing activities with Government-authorized teams; review and respond to findings. * Develop and maintain program cybersecurity policies, procedures, and engineering standards documents. * Collaborate with the Lead ISSO to support RMF package development, security control implementation, and continuous monitoring activities. * Evaluate AI/ML models and pipelines for adversarial risk, data poisoning, and model security vulnerabilities. * Provide cybersecurity guidance to software engineers, architects, and data scientists throughout the SDLC. * Engage with Government cybersecurity stakeholders, ISSMs, and Security Control Assessors (SCAs) during ATO processes. * Monitor threat intelligence and emerging cybersecurity risks relevant to DIA and IC environments. REQUIREMENTS Education * Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related technical field. Experience * Minimum 8 years of progressive cybersecurity experience with a focus on application security in federal or IC environments. * Demonstrated hands-on experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, and security testing for cloud-native applications. * Experience implementing security controls within CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps frameworks. Certifications (Minimum per PWS - DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III) * CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) - required; OR * CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security) - required; OR * Equivalent DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140.01 IAT Level III baseline certification. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) in addition to IAT Level III certification. * Experience with AI/ML security - adversarial machine learning, model security, and AI risk frameworks (NIST AI RMF). * Familiarity with DISA STIGs, ICD 503, and CNSSI 1253 security control overlays. * Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) implementation in classified environments. * Prior experience with DIA, DISA, NSA, or other IC cybersecurity programs. * Hands-on experience with classified cloud security (C2S, SC2S, or equivalent IC cloud).
