Job Title: Senior Cyber Defense Analyst

Location: Fort Bragg, NC (Onsite)

Status: Full-time

Clearance: Secret

YSI is seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst to serve as the lead for Tier 2 helpdesk operations, providing escalation support for issues that Tier 1 TechOne/local District IT helpdesks are unable to resolve, and overseeing timely and properly documented ticket resolution.

Job Responsibilities

Lead analysis on suspected Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) activity and complex intrusions

Plan and execute hypothesis-driven hunt missions

Develop and validate new detection content, including SIEM correlation rules, YARA, Snort/Suricata, and host-based policies

Coordinate signature submissions with the CTI cell for promotion to the production sensor grid

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 personnel.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 years of documented, specialized operational experience in the respective cyber functional areas in a DoD or Enterprise IT environment.

Certifications: SOC Tier 3 / IR Lead DCWF 531 (Cyber Defense Incident Responder), Advanced; and DCWF 511 (Cyber Defense Analyst), Advanced.

Active Secret clearance required
