Job description

Job Title: SQL Server DBA (Infrastructure +AWS Experience)
Location: Remote

Contract role

PST time zone.

Must have 10 + years of experience.

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience managing SQL Server databases and working with infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience managing database infrastructure and server environments.
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and database services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and database services.
  • Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high availability.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, database security, and access management.
  • Experience with database migration, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, networking, storage, and infrastructure administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing SQL Server environments across on-premises, AWS, and Azure.
  • AWS RDS for SQL Server and Azure SQL / Azure SQL Managed Instance experience.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools.
  • Relevant Microsoft, AWS, or Azure certifications are a plus.

Ideal Candidate:
A hands-on SQL Server DBA who understands both database administration and underlying cloud infrastructure, and can independently manage, troubleshoot, optimize, and support SQL Server environments across AWS and Azure.
