Job Description

Position: Head of Operations (Nurse Qualified)
Location:
North West, Cheshire, Stoke & Stafford
Salary: £60,000 + £5,000 car allowance
Hours: Full-time


Career Makers is currently working with an established care provider to appoint a Head of Operations with a strong clinical background and proven senior leadership experience.

This is a key leadership position for a qualified nurse who has developed into an operational management role and is confident overseeing multiple services, supporting Registered Managers and maintaining high standards of clinical care and governance.

A current professional registration as an Adult Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse is essential.

Responsibilities as a Head of Operations:

  • Overseeing the operational and clinical performance of multiple services.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to Registered Managers.
  • Maintaining strong clinical governance and effective risk management.
  • Monitoring quality, compliance and service performance.
  • Supporting clinical oversight of delegated healthcare activities.
  • Assisting with the development and opening of new services.
  • Coaching and developing management teams to achieve strong outcomes.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate action plans.


Requirements as a Head of Operations:

  • Current registration as an Adult Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse.
  • Significant nursing and clinical experience.
  • Previous senior operational management experience within health & social care.
  • Experience overseeing multiple services or supporting Registered Managers.
  • Full UK driving licence


*Supported living experience is not essential; however, applicants must have the required nursing qualification, current professional registration and credible clinical experience alongside senior operational leadership experience.
