Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $95.00hr - $100.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture or solution architecture experience.
  • Experience within financial services or asset management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience operationalizing Architecture Centers of Excellence or similar cross-organizational architecture forums.
  • Strong written communication skills, with a portfolio of reference architectures, technical guidance documents, or published patterns authored in Markdown and Confluence.
  • Ability to engage across both executive and engineering audiences, adjusting depth and tone appropriately.
  • Experience producing concrete deliverables such as templates, diagrams, runnable samples, code accelerators, and agent-consumable artifacts.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Azure including AKS, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Static Web Apps, App Gateway, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, and Express Route.
  • Experience with Azure landing zones and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Real-Time Intelligence.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data governance, lineage, and sensitivity.
  • Experience with Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Azure PostgreSQL, ADLS Gen2, and modern data mesh/domain activation patterns.
  • Technical depth in AI and Agentic Platforms including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, Power Platform Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility.
  • Experience with agentic AI patterns, RAG architectures, and prompt engineering at enterprise scale.
  • Proficiency in application development using .NET (C#), Node.js, and Python (FastAPI).
  • Experience with API design and governance, microservices, event-driven architecture, and container-based deployments.
  • Experience with DevOps tools including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Claude Code, Claude Skills, and MCP server development.
  • Knowledge of observability tools such as Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and APM onboarding patterns.
  • Experience with Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Power Platform governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner on preparation and facilitation of the Architecture CoE, including agenda development, content curation, and follow-up tracking.
  • Co-author and maintain specific reference architectures, design patterns, guidelines, and best practices for Azure, .NET, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform.
  • Codify architectural artifacts as structured Markdown optimized for consumption by coding agents and IDE-integrated assistants.
  • Drive the connective layer between affiliate architecture and the central Enterprise Architecture function to support alignment and shared decision-making.
  • Contribute to solution architecture and design for new and modernized platforms built on Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform.
  • Shape enterprise guidance on responsible AI adoption, model selection, and reusable AI building blocks.
  • Provide architectural input across Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, and Azure PostgreSQL.
  • Guide affiliates through Fabric maturity, domain activation, and governance rollout.
  • Co-author the AI strategy for the developer and architecture SDLC, integrating tooling such as GitHub, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
  • Author Claude Skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, prompt libraries, and reusable automation components.
  • Mentor engineering and architecture teams on adopting reusable assets and contributing to a shared catalog.
  • Support the Engineering Council and Architecture Council as a working contributor.
  • Assist with preparation, review, and shepherding of EARB submissions, including technical writeups and architecture diagrams.
  • Hold regular office hours and engagement sessions with development teams to provide architectural guidance and review proposed solutions.
  • Produce and maintain all architecture documentation in Confluence and Markdown to ensure artifacts are version-controlled and discoverable.
