IBM Sterling OMS Technical Lead Brentwood - TN - Tennessee

POSITION OVERVIEW

Lead the delivery and operational excellence of enterprise-scale IBM Sterling OMS solutions. The role requires expertise in distributed order management, inventory visibility, fulfillment orchestration, enterprise integration, performance engineering, production support, and technical governance across omnichannel retail programs.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: A hands-on OMS lead who combines strong Sterling engineering depth with production ownership, client-facing communication, and the ability to lead distributed teams in high-volume retail environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Own end-to-end OMS solution architecture, technical design, and engineering governance collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve complex issues.

Lead IBM Sterling OMS support operations, ensuring platform availability, stability, and performance serve as the primary technical contact for US-based customers and stakeholders.

Manage incidents, problems, and change requests within a production support environment, with disciplined prioritization, communication, and closure.

Perform root-cause analysis, implement preventive actions, and drive code quality, performance tuning, and production stabilization.

Drive continuous improvement across support processes while ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs, KPIs, release controls, and operational standards.

MUST-HAVE COMPETENCIES

IBM Sterling OMS 9.x configuration, customization, solution design, and order orchestration.

Inventory management and retail omnichannel fulfillment, including BOPIS and Ship From Store.

JavaJ2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, IBM MQ, Oracle PLSQL, and WebSphere.

CICD, DockerKubernetes, Agile delivery, production support, and performance troubleshooting.

LEADERSHIP & DOMAIN

Technical leadership, stakeholder communication, mentoring, and code-review governance.

Cross-functional collaboration, issue ownership, release support, and onshoreoffshore coordination.

Strong retail and eCommerce domain knowledge.
