Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and support data integration and transformation solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, developing data models, and delivering reliable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business operations.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand data needs, develop innovative solutions, and transform complex data into meaningful insights. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud-based technologies while contributing to the organization's overall data strategy and analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that integrate, transform, and prepare data for analytics and reporting.
  • Build scalable data solutions that address business challenges and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Conduct data profiling, validation, and analysis to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, metadata, and data quality standards.
  • Design and support logical and physical data models to represent business information effectively.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows, scheduling processes, and automated alerts.
  • Support analysts, business users, and other data consumers by providing trusted, accessible data resources.
  • Participate in activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and programming languages to continuously improve data capabilities.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve business challenges.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions.
  • Experience working through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, SQL development, and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery.
  • Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data architecture best practices.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or cross-functional data projects.
  • Advanced understanding of modern data architecture and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience promoting data quality, governance, and best practices across an organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
