TLS Security Engineer / Network Security Consultant 100% Remote

Position: TLS Security Engineer / Network Security Consultant
 

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of TLS protocols and TLS negotiation.
• Hands-on experience with TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 migration.
• Strong knowledge of Cipher Suites.
• Experience analyzing Wireshark traces and packet captures.
• Ability to troubleshoot TLS handshakes and connection issues.
• Experience collaborating with Project Managers and cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent communication and technical consulting skills.

Good to Have:

• Mainframe networking experience.
• Network Security experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP encryption protocols, including TLS, AT-TLS, and IPSec.
• Experience with mainframe network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, OMEGAMON, and MainView.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot TLS negotiation, handshake, encryption, and connectivity issues.
• Support TLS protocol migrations and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Analyze network traces and monitoring data to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Support network engineering, infrastructure performance testing, and security improvements.
• Collaborate with technical teams and project stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
• Provide clear explanations of technical findings to management and cross-functional teams.
