Job Description

Role Summary
The Electrical Engineer III is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and execution of electrical engineering projects within industrial facilities. This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary project team from concept through construction and commissioning, providing technical expertise in power distribution, medium-voltage systems, and industrial electrical design. The position requires independent management of assigned tasks while collaborating with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review electrical system designs, including power distribution, medium-voltage, and low-voltage systems for industrial projects.
  • Perform electrical calculations, system analysis, and studies such as short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and grounding.
  • Prepare electrical construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor drawings, specifications, and equipment quotes.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure design and project requirements are met throughout all project phases.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes, including IEEE, NEC, and NESC.
  • Utilize electrical system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for system modeling and calculations.
  • Manage multiple project tasks independently while maintaining quality and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to facilitate project progression.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or EPC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and supporting standards.
  • Experience in designing and supporting industrial electrical power systems.
  • Proficiency with electrical analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
  • Ability to perform or support system studies including short circuit, arc flash, and grounding analysis.
  • Familiarity with equipment procurement, vendor review, construction support, and startup activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, power, or utility industries is preferred.
Publishing Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually 
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
