Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer<br />Basic Salary: £31,000 – £38,000<br />OTE: £36,811 – £45,124 (based on 5 hours overtime/week)<br />Overtime: 1.5x<br />Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (40 hours)<br />Location:

Scotland (Depot near Glasgow) We’re currently recruiting for a Mobile Forklift Engineer working with a well-established and employee-focused material handling company. Due to their increased workload, they are expanding their team!

As a Forklift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:<br />Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment<br />Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues<br />Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant<br />Completing detailed safety checks and pre-delivery inspections (PDI)<br />Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce customer downtime<br />Effectively organising and managing your own workload and service schedule (for mobile positions)<br />Accurately filling out service reports, job sheets and all relevant compliance documentation<br />Coordinating with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and installed<br />Keeping the working environment clean, safe and well organised<br />Delivering excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional manner at all times<br />What We’re Looking For<br />Experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar<br />Knowledge of diesel engines<br />Experience with electrics and hydraulics<br />Strong diagnostic skills<br />Ability to work independently and manage workload<br />A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude<br />Experience or knowledge of LOLER inspections (desirable)<br />Technical qualification (City &amp; Guilds / SVQ) (desirable)<br />Full UK driving licence<br />What you’ll get in return:<br />Excellent package including a competitive salary upto £45,124<br />Door to Door pay<br />Company van with personal use allowed and fuel card<br />PDA &amp; Mobile Phone<br />uniform provision<br />overtime and call-out available<br />contributory pension<br />employee retail discount scheme<br />24 days holidays + Bank Holidays, extra days holiday awarded on service,<br />full training and development programme for career progression to diversify employee’s skillset in an evolving trade<br />Next steps:<br />If this sounds of interest or you are looking for advise on your next career move, please contact Celi Digby on (phone number removed) or apply today
