Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

The Opportunity
Information Technology provides a critical foundation for our work due to our unique approach of combining high throughput biology and software engineering for drug discovery. We are looking for an IT support engineer who is excited to develop that foundation as we scale our operations. Our technology work spans a variety of domains from endpoint management to information security to deploying computing infrastructure that supports our highly automated lab. You will contribute directly to developing and implementing standards, processes, and projects to support staff as we build an IT team to support company growth. You will collaborate closely with our Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Lab Process Engineering teams to understand our unique needs and to develop specialized solutions. You will provide technical solutions to staff across the entire organization as well as streamline and augment IT capabilities by participating in service improvement projects. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, a strong collaborative work ethic, ability to adapt to changing needs, and the capacity to multitask to meet key goals. Strong communication and adaptability are essential to success in this position. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. You will be joining the founding team of a biotech startup that has long-term stability due to significant funding, yet is very much in formation. A lot can change in this early and exciting phase, providing many opportunities for significant impact. About You

• 2-3 years of experience providing direct staff support to organizations with a diverse desktop operating system environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving staff-reported issues with productivity tools
• Experience installing and configuring Mac and Windows desktop operating systems
• Experience supporting common video conferencing solutions
• Proficient with network troubleshooting
• Experience performing proactive preventative maintenance for endpoints and services
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and job functions
• Strong documentation skills
• Strong team/collaborative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for making a difference in the world

• Experience with working in a regulated biological lab setting
