Job Description

The Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership to the organization. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and financial planning to support business objectives and operational decision-making. The position is a fixed-term engagement and requires a high level of independence, judgment, and collaboration with executive leadership.

Financial Leadership and Strategy
Provide financial leadership to the organization, supporting strategic planning, business initiatives, and executive decision-making. Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with operational goals. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Flow Management
Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and financial projections to ensure financial stability and operational continuity. Financial Reporting and Analysis
Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports, analyses, and dashboards for senior leadership.

Establish, maintain, and monitor internal financial controls. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. Develop, refine, and document financial models, systems, processes, and reporting frameworks. Ensure financial tools and documentation are scalable, accurate, and aligned with company needs. Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership teams to support financial planning, cost management, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Advanced knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
Proficiency with financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
This position primarily operates in a professional office or remote work environment. Occasional travel or in-person meetings may be required based on business needs.

This role is largely sedentary and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, work at a computer, and communicate effectively via phone, video, and in-person meetings. This is a full-time, exempt, fixed-term position structured as a nine (9) month engagement.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required
Master’s degree (MBA, MS Finance) or CPA preferred
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience
Prior experience in a senior finance leadership role preferred
Finance staff or contractors, as assigned
