Job Description:
Product Managers are strategic leaders responsible for driving the development, launch, and ongoing support of a company's products. They focus on long-term vision, market trends, and identifying new opportunities. Work close with Product Owner to define specific incremental improvements to be manages in different squads.
Responsibilities:
Analyze market trends, monitor competitors, and identify opportunities in organizational processes. Supporting product sales or other product goals established. Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit. End to end team output strategy from inception to production. Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products alignment with value streams. Accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders. Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team. Works closely with CPO to establish each product's business value and support messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary. Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design.
Previous Experience:
3 years in related individual contributor roles and 2 years leading technical teams with similar responsibilities. Leadership: Naturally leads individuals and teams, emphasizing relationships over role functions. Adapts personal style as needed to accomplish goals. Acknowledges and empowers others. Provides guidance to junior individuals on navigating their career paths successfully. Builds trust with individuals seeking recommendations and perspectives on various situations. Approaches issues comprehensively, offering fresh perspectives that add value.
Agile:
Identifies improvement opportunities in the team and promotes the increase in productivity. Ensures real and continuous value delivery to the business. Understands different agile development practices and introduces them to the team, selecting and adapting the best ones.
Design:
Ensures that the proposed designs in their teams comply with industry best practices. Ensures designs are suitable in an organizational context. Validates that a cycle is implemented to ensure designs are met in the implementation stages.
Optimization:
Establishes new quality standards. Continuously challenges current results, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Proposes and requests new engineering approaches to elevate solution performance.
Technical Tutoring:
Masters some coaching techniques, which they use to accompany collaborators in their learning process. Communicates a culture of continuous learning. Assesses each person's maturity in their role, both in technical expertise and soft skills, helping them build an individual learning plan. Forms balanced teams, where individuals with greater expertise can mentor those who are more junior.
Team & Key Projects:
The Product Management team is responsible for driving digital product strategy and execution across enterprise initiatives, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, design, and business stakeholders. The contractor Product Manager will support multiple strategic product initiatives, helping define requirements, manage roadmaps, prioritize work, and drive execution from discovery through delivery. This role is intended to provide additional product leadership capacity for a growing portfolio of work and accelerate delivery of high-priority initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly understand business needs, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and independently lead product efforts with minimal ramp-up time.
Typical Day in the Role:
- Lead discovery and requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders
- Translate business objectives into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Manage and prioritize product backlog in partnership with engineering teams
- Drive roadmap planning, sprint activities, and release readiness discussions
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, design, architecture, and business teams
- Monitor product performance, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones
- Communicate status, priorities, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Highly collaborative environment with daily interaction across product, engineering, program management, and business teams. Operates in an Agile delivery model with significant stakeholder engagement.
