Senior Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder management, and translating business needs into detailed functional requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments and supporting complex enterprise applications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Expertise in creating BRD, FRD, Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong experience with stakeholder management and communication with business users, product owners, SMEs, and technical teams.
• Experience conducting requirements workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, and JAD sessions.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling and process improvement.
• Experience creating process flows, workflows, use cases, activity diagrams, and data-flow diagrams.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar requirements/project management tools.
• Experience writing detailed User Stories, Functional Specifications, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong experience with UAT planning, test scenarios, test case reviews, defect triage, and business validation.
• Ability to analyze business and system requirements and identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Ability to understand REST APIs, integrations, application architecture, and technical dependencies.
• Experience supporting end-to-end SDLC and software implementation projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, pain points, and requirements.
• Conduct requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery meetings.
• Analyze and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and technical teams to prioritize requirements and maintain the product backlog.
• Create process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and data-flow diagrams.
• Identify business process gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC to clarify requirements and resolve questions.
• Review technical solutions and ensure they align with business requirements.
• Support UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and business sign-off.
• Validate application functionality against approved business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform data analysis and database validation using SQL.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage requirement changes and assess their business and technical impact.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure requirements remain aligned throughout development and testing.
• Prepare status updates, requirement documentation, process documentation, and presentations for business and technical stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support production implementation, post-release validation, issue analysis, and continuous process improvement.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
