Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Oracle ADF / Java Modernization Engineer with strong hands-on experience upgrading enterprise Oracle ADF applications and modernizing Java/WebLogic environments.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Oracle ADF 12c to 14c upgrades, Java 8 to Java 21 modernization, WebLogic 12c/14c, enterprise middleware, REST/SOAP integrations, and production-grade application testing and troubleshooting.

This is a hands-on modernization role and is not intended for candidates whose background is limited to L1/L2 production support or application maintenance.

Top 5 Must-Have Skills

1. Oracle ADF Upgrade Experience

  • Hands-on experience upgrading Oracle ADF 12c to ADF 14c
  • Strong experience with ADF Faces, ADF Business Components (ADF BC), task flows, bindings, and application configuration
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting ADF applications on WebLogic 14.1.2.x
  • Enterprise-scale ADF modernization experience

2. Java Modernization JDK 8 to Java 21

  • Proven experience modernizing enterprise Java applications from JDK 8 to Java 17/21
  • Experience remediating deprecated Java APIs
  • Hands-on experience with javax to jakarta migration
  • Experience with JAXB, JTA, dependency upgrades, and compatibility remediation
  • Exposure to Java 21 and/or GraalVM strongly preferred

3. WebLogic & Middleware Migration

  • Strong WebLogic administration and application deployment experience with WebLogic 12c/14c
  • WebLogic migration and deployment troubleshooting
  • JVM tuning experience, including G1and/or ZGC
  • Experience troubleshooting SSL/TLS 1.3 compatibility issues
  • Web services and middleware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with OCI-based deployments preferred

4. Integration & API Modernization

  • Experience upgrading and troubleshooting REST and SOAP web services
  • Experience with Jersey 1.x/2.x to 3.x migration
  • Experience with SFTP/SSH integrations
  • Experience with Quartz Scheduler
  • Experience with MyBatis
  • Strong enterprise integration and dependency troubleshooting skills

5. Enterprise Application Support & Testing

  • Strong regression testing and application validation experience
  • Performance benchmarking and tuning
  • Production issue troubleshooting and defect resolution
  • UAT support and bug fixing
  • Experience supporting mission-critical HR, financial, or other enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of hybrid enterprise application environments
