Job Description

SR. HR GENERALIST

Senior Human Resources Generalists undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. Utilize Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential and act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Responsibilities:
• Administers company human resource plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies.
• Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program.
• Performs benefits administration which can include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
• Develops and maintains affirmative action program; handles reporting; maintains records.
• May handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
• Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports as needed.
• Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
• Conduct employee on-boarding and help organize training & development initiatives
• Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
• Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
• Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
• Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations
Qualifications:
• Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business, or other related discipline
• HR Certification Institute are a plus: Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR).
  • Manage assigned leave of absence cases in order to reduce liability of the firm by providing exceptional customer service to associates, coordinating relevant information with applicable vendor(s) and partnering with other departments in the firm
  • Manage assigned operational reporting on behalf of leaves team.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality controls and service measures for Leave of Absence team.
  • Identify, analyze and report/resolve associate escalations.
  • Recommend and implement policies related to absence management
  • Meet with service receivers to gather information and determine required improvements based on stakeholder needs.
  • Design, develop, deliver and coordinate the implementation of training programs to service receivers regarding the usage of new reports and tracking systems.
  • Administer systems and documentation to ensure system access and subject matter is current and available to meet business needs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to Leave of Absence team and stakeholders within the firm.

     
  • BS/BA in Human Resource related field or equivalent HR experience is preferred
  • 5-8 years of Leaves of absence or HR experience in related field is required
  • Professional designation of PHR, SPHR, CP or SCP is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Leave of Absence and Disability Guidelines including: FMLA, ADAAA, state variations, ADA 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Must be able to build and maintain relationships with internal business partners
  • Strong understanding of core HR practices

     
  • BS/BA in Human Resource related field or equivalent HR experience is preferred
