Role: Senior SAP FICO/RAR/VIM Consultant
Location: Remote with 50% travel - expenses paid
Duration: 6 - 12 months contract

Job Description:
We are looking for a senior SAP Finance professional with strong expertise across S/4HANA Finance, Controlling, Revenue Accounting, and Invoice Management. The consultant will provide functional leadership throughout a large-scale SAP transformation, supporting solution design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across business and technical teams, translating complex financial requirements into scalable SAP solutions while maintaining alignment with accounting, reporting, compliance, and operational needs.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead functional activities across SAP FI, CO, RAR, and VIM/OpenText.
• Design and configure finance processes within SAP S/4HANA.
• Support regional implementations, enhancements, and process standardization initiatives.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
• Participate in solution workshops, process reviews, gap assessments, and design discussions.
• Support configuration, defect analysis, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
• Work with technical teams on integrations, custom developments, reports, interfaces, forms, conversions, and workflows.
• Assist with financial data migration activities, including cleansing, mapping, validation, and loading.
• Ensure SAP solutions support applicable accounting policies, statutory requirements, and business controls.
• Partner with business users, project teams, technical resources, and production support teams.

SAP Finance Expertise
Strong hands-on experience should include several of the following:

• General Ledger: Ledger configuration, parallel accounting, currencies, document splitting, and Universal Journal.
• Accounts Payable / Receivable: Business Partner, payment processing, dunning, electronic bank statements, and customer/vendor processes.
• Asset Accounting: Asset lifecycle processes, depreciation, acquisitions, retirements, and S/4HANA Asset Accounting.
• Controlling: Cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, allocations, settlements, and management reporting.
• Product Costing: Standard costing, cost estimates, material ledger, variance analysis, and manufacturing cost processes.
• Profitability Analysis: S/4HANA Margin Analysis / account-based CO-PA.

Revenue & Invoice Management
Experience with the following is highly valuable:

• SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) within S/4HANA.
• Revenue recognition processes aligned with IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
• Performance obligations and transaction price allocation.
• Revenue contract processing and accounting.
• Integration of revenue processes with SAP SD or external source systems.
• SAP VIM / OpenText invoice processing and accounts payable automation.

Integration & Delivery

• FI/CO integration with SAP MM and SD.
• Understanding of financial impacts across procurement, sales, billing, inventory, and logistics processes.
• Creation of detailed functional specifications for RICEFW objects.
• Collaboration with ABAP and integration teams during development and testing.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications and embedded analytics.
• Participation in unit, integration, regression, and UAT cycles.
• Experience supporting cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production issue resolution.

Required Background

• 10+ years of overall SAP Finance experience with strong hands-on FICO configuration.
• Multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations or major ECC-to-S/4HANA transformations.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and management accounting processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in S/4HANA Finance.
• Practical experience with RAR and VIM/OpenText.
• Strong Product Costing experience.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex functional issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a distributed/global project environment.
• Must be able to travel as required for project activities.
