Application Engineer

Holland Pump Company is seeking an Application Engineer to support dewatering and pump solutions for construction projects. In this hands-on role, you will design and size temporary pump systems, prepare submittals, and assist with bids and proposals. You'll work closely with sales, field service, and customers to translate jobsite conditions into practical engineered solutions, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system reliability and safety. This role includes site visits, technical support during installation and operation, and documentation of layouts, calculations, and best practices to support project success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Design and size temporary dewatering and pump systems for construction and industrial projects
• Analyze site conditions, flows, and elevations to develop practical engineered solutions
• Prepare drawings, layouts, and technical submittals for customer review and approvals
• Support estimating and sales teams with system concepts, bids, and proposals
• Provide technical guidance to field crews during system installation and startup
• Troubleshoot pump and system performance issues and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure solutions comply with safety, environmental, and company standards
• Document calculations, system configurations, and project learnings
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs and optimize system performance
• Participate in continuous improvement of engineering tools, standards, and best practices
