Job description

Job Title: Product Manager – Social (Medallia)

Work Location: NYC, NY or Atlanta, GA or Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)

Duration : 12+ Months

Role Description & Scope of Work

Engagement Snapshot

• Function: Product Management, Social (App Reviews, Reputation Management, Rivals)

• Reporting line: Margaryta Rashev, VP of Product

• Time allocation: ~40% day-to-day operational support, ~60% project-based initiatives

• Ramp expectation: productive on core day-to-day duties within week 1; minimal ongoing direction needed after that

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Direct, hands-on experience in social media listening and/or online reputation management (ORM)— e.g., review aggregation platforms, Google/Meta review APIs, scraping or vendor data feeds, ORM tooling such as Yext, Podium, Birdeye, or similar. This is what makes a one-week ramp realistic; general PM experience without this domain background will not ramp fast enough for this engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project brief and independently work out the objective, sequencing, and stakeholders involved — not just execute a pre-written task list. Ask for examples of a project they scoped and drove themselves, not just delivered.
  • Track record of shipping to a high standard with minimal oversight — e.g., has owned a workstream solo, not only contributed to one with a manager directing each step.
  • Able to be productive on the CODB/PEQ/EEQ backlog and field Slack support within the first week, with only light onboarding support from the team.
  • Prior product management experience in enterprise SaaS/CX or adjacent B2B software
  • Comfortable working directly with vendors on data licensing, cost, and integration evaluation
  • Experience writing PRDs, one-pagers, and go-to-market/rollout strategy documents
  • Strong written communication — this role produces significant internal documentation and field-facing Slack support

Success Criteria

• CODB, PEQ, and EEQ queues maintained at agreed SLAs throughout the engagement

• LA rollout strategy delivered and LA cohort actively managed with no major escalations

• Scraping Methodology PRD and vendor recommendation delivered in time for CR planning

• Refreshed Social onboarding materials published and usable by internal teams

• Rivals migration analysis delivered with a clear recommendation

• Operates independently after week 1 — surfaces trade-offs and recommendations rather than waiting for direction
