Position Summary

The organization is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team as part of their efforts in developing advanced artificial intelligence products. In this role, you will discover, design, develop, test, and deploy sophisticated AI applications within a dedicated engineering team. You will collaborate closely with technical leaders to translate architectural designs into robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. This position requires hands-on development experience and a passion for solving complex technical problems using modern AI capabilities. The team supports consumer lending by building robotic and agent-based automation systems and is focused on scaling AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning.


• Review and analyze multi-faceted, long-term software challenges, evaluating various factors, including intangible and unprecedented elements.


• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to resolve multi-layered technical and operational issues.


• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI applications, including upgrades and maintenance of existing systems.


• Guide teams through technical challenges, ensuring delivery within compliance and policy standards.


• Act as an escalation point, providing direction and mentorship to less experienced engineers.


• Integrate AI models with enterprise systems, ensuring solutions adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards.


• Troubleshoot complex application and model-related issues, promoting continuous system improvements.


• Stay informed about advancements in AI, large language models, and agent frameworks to incorporate relevant updates.


• Support the organization's initiative to scale AI across various business domains, particularly in consumer lending.


• Contribute within a fast-paced, startup-like environment, promoting high-value, high-growth project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work, training, military service, or education.


• At least 4 years of experience developing agentic automated applications.


• A minimum of 2 years of experience with AI and large language models or foundational AI technologies.


• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for at least 2 years.


• Proficiency with Python programming for at least 2 years.


• Experience in REST API development and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for at least 2 years.


• Strong understanding and practical experience using version control systems like Git, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows.


• Relevant certifications such as UiPath Certified and MS Power Platform Certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Dataverse.


• Familiarity with enterprise automation tools like UiPath.


• Experience developing or contributing to large language model frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini).


• Knowledge of agent frameworks and AI workflow orchestration.


• Skilled in designing applications that incorporate retrieval augmented generation, fine tuning, and structured prompting.


• Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Weaviate.


• Skills in evaluating, monitoring, and optimizing AI models, including considerations for latency, accuracy, drift detection, and safety.


• Knowledge of ML lifecycle tools, including feature stores, model registries, and CI/CD pipelines for AI.


• Understanding of responsible AI principles, governance, and compliance in regulated environments.


• Strong communication skills for collaboration across technical, product, and oversight teams.
