The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and timely handling of freight. • Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality. • Drive hostlers to strategically position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and task execution. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. • Basic communication skills for effective teamwork. • Ability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars and equipment.
