The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks as part of daily logistics operations.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis accurately within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts (2nd or 3rd shift availability).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background, physical, and drug screenings.
