Manufacturing Applications Software Engineer

Cargill is seeking an Advisor, Application Development to design, build, and optimize manufacturing applications that support global food and agriculture operations. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, architect scalable solutions, and integrate systems that enhance plant efficiency, data visibility, and product quality. You will guide development best practices, perform code reviews, and support deployment in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business and technical requirements
• Architect scalable, secure, and reliable application solutions
• Integrate applications with existing enterprise and plant-floor systems
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices and standards
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing applications and services
• Support deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution in production environments
• Document solutions, processes, and technical designs for knowledge sharing
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data visibility and plant efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
