Security Technician

The Role

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application and system issues, working both individually and as part of a team.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
• Perform routine configuration changes, including user permissions and application settings.
• Document all system modifications accurately through a digital change control tracking system.
• Conduct pre-deployment testing and on-site installations of software upgrades and modifications.

What You'll Need

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage equipment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
• Experience with Bosch or Silent Knight fire alarm systems preferred; other commercial fire systems are a plus.
• NICET certification or State Fire License is preferred.
• Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing.
